Located at the heart of the Pestana Carvoeiro Resort, within this 36-hole complex, you will find the Pestana Gramacho golf club. One of five golf courses in the portfolio of Pestana Group, along with Vale da Pinta (also on-site), Pestana Vila Sol, Gramacho, Silves, and Alto golf courses.

Gramacho is a popular golf course in the central Algarve and sits just a 3-kilometre or 5-minute drive from the Vale da Pinta course, making the resort an ideal stay-and-play venue.

Shorter than its sister course, Gramacho opened its doors first in October 1991. This 18-hole par 72 course measures just short of 6085 yards from the yellow Tees - the choice of the average golfer, with an additional choice of White and Black tees for the better golfers or even just, the longer hitter with the Black Tees measuring 6,717 yards.

The course is designed (along with the Pinta course) by none other than the famous Donald Fream. It has an unusual or interesting (depending on how you look at it) combination with 72 Tee-boxes, 9 fairways and 18 greens. This said, it makes for interesting play with tight fairways which depending on which tee box you start from, make a test for golfers of all standards.

Since its inception and up until today, the course remains one of the most requested courses to play, which combines with its sister course for holiday golf.
