Our specialists quote around you - not around set packages.
Start BuildingThis is arguably the best golf travel destination in Europe. It is, without doubt, our most popular region for golf holidays in the Algarve and attracts hundreds of thousands of golfers each year. The combination of world class championship golf, year round climate, a vibrant marina packed with bars and restaurants for nightlife all offered in top value group deals make this an unrivalled destination.
Vilamoura is one of Europe’s strongest destinations for golf holidays, combining short flights from the UK, quick transfers from Faro Airport, a lively marina and a compact collection of high-quality golf courses. For UK golfers, it works particularly well for 3-night golf breaks, society trips, annual group holidays and longer Algarve golf tours.
Vilamoura golf holidays are easy to plan, with Laguna, Millennium, Pinhal and Old Course Vilamoura all close to the marina, hotels and main resort areas. The Els Club Vilamoura can be considered as a premium option where access allows, making the resort ideal for golf societies, short breaks and group golf trips without long daily transfers.
Most Vilamoura golf breaks are built around the main Vilamoura golf courses - Laguna, Millennium, Pinhal and Old Course Vilamoura - with premium upgrades available for golfers wanting a more exclusive round such as The Els Club Vilamoura.
The big advantage is convenience. Golfers can stay close to Vilamoura Marina, enjoy evening restaurants and bars without long transfers, and still reach the courses quickly. Hotels such as Hilton As Cascatas, Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve, Vila Galé Ampalius and Tivoli Marina Vilamoura give groups different options depending on budget, nightlife, luxury level and course access.

For a first visit, four nights and three rounds is a useful starting point. We can adjust the hotel, course combination and pace of the trip around your group.
Tell us your travel dates, group size and must-play courses, and we will help build the right Vilamoura golf break for you.

Choose a hotel near the marina for evenings on foot, or a resort setting for more time by the pool. Then build your trip around the courses you want to play. We can arrange accommodation, tee times and transfers to suit couples, friends and golf societies, with the inclusions confirmed in your quote. The price depends on your dates, hotel, room sharing, course choices and transport. Compare packages with the same number of nights and rounds: a three-night break with two rounds is a different proposition from four nights with three rounds and private transfers. These are advertised starting prices reviewed on 2 November 2026, subject to dates and availability. Both itineraries use a Vilamoura base to explore courses across the Algarve; they are not three-round packages confined to Vilamoura. Start with your evening plans. If you want to walk to restaurants after golf, prioritise marina and beach locations. If pools, gardens and resort facilities matter more, check the shuttle or taxi arrangements before choosing your hotel. Travelling with a non-golfing partner? Ask for a quote that separates golfer and non-golfer costs, and choose a hotel where they can enjoy the beach, marina or facilities while you play. For more detail, read our guide to golf hotels in Vilamoura. For a first visit, consider Laguna and Millennium, adding Pinhal for a third round. This gives you contrasting layouts without building the whole itinerary around premium upgrades. If Old Course Vilamoura is a priority, request it at the start so we can price and plan around it. Read our Vilamoura course comparison for more help choosing. These are suggested trip structures, not fixed departures. We will adjust the order around flights, tee times, handicaps and hotel availability. Add a fifth night and play Laguna, Millennium, Pinhal and Old Course on four separate days, with arrival and departure days kept free of golf. This suits a group that wants to play daily; for a rest day between rounds, consider a longer stay. For an eight-person trip, a useful starting brief is four nights, three rounds and four twin rooms, with return Faro Airport transfers and transport to each course. Tell us your handicaps, preferred dates and budget per person so we can compare suitable options. A “1 in 8 free” offer does not automatically mean the organiser pays nothing for the whole holiday. Qualifying dates, minimum numbers and included services must be confirmed. If your group is still comparing Vilamoura with other destinations, explore our group golf holidays for more hotel and resort options. Compare the complete trip, including sleeping arrangements, course combinations and transport, to find the best fit for your party. Yes. A trip can be arranged around airport transfers and transport between your hotel and the golf courses. A hotel within walking distance of the marina also makes evenings easier to plan without driving. Faro Airport is the usual arrival point. Journey times depend on the hotel, traffic and whether your transfer is private or shared; confirm the expected timing with your booking. Spring and autumn are worth considering if comfortable playing temperatures are your priority. For value, compare the complete hotel-and-golf price across several dates rather than assuming one month is always cheapest. If your dates are flexible, ask us to compare more than one departure week using the same hotel, courses and inclusions. The marina brings restaurants, cafés and bars together, making it a convenient place for your group to meet after separate rounds or an afternoon by the pool. Book ahead for larger group dinners and check seasonal opening before planning around a particular venue. For non-golfing partners or a day off, our guide to things to do in Vilamoura covers beach time, marina outings, boat trips and places to visit beyond the resort. Choose your hotel with these plans in mind, particularly if some guests will be exploring independently while others play golf. Tell us your preferred month, number of nights, rounds, group size and budget per person. Include any must-play courses and whether you need airport transfers, golf transport or buggies. In terms of flying to Portugal, the Faro International Airport is quite popular and busy among airports. It's also an option for affordable flights when planning golf breaks in Vilamoura. Since it's a hub, Faro International Airport is served by more than 100 airlines and offers connections to numerous destinations worldwide.
The golf courses tend to be less crowded from May until the end of August, aligning with the months of the year when temperatures peak. It is advisable to plan your trips during the Spring and Autumn seasons when temperatures are milder, and rainfall is minimal. If it's value for money you are looking for then shoulder season will work out best around February/March and November.
No Vilamoura golf holiday is complete with a visit to one of The Irish Pub, Bliss, Casino and the 19th Hole.
Experience the excitement of deep-sea fishing, enjoy a variety of water sports, and admire the stunning beauty of Falesia Beach.
Apart from the exceptional golfing experience, Vilamoura offers a wealth of activities and amenities. You can indulge in the local cuisine at fine restaurants, relax at bars with a refreshing atmosphere, or enjoy some downtime at the beach. And with each of our golf resorts offering luxurious services like spas and fine dining, you can also unwind and rejuvenate in style after your rounds.
For culture you could try the ancient ruins at Cerro da Vila a Roman settlement or try a day trip to the Ria Formosa Natural Park for wildlife and natural beauty.
Most Vilamoura golf holidays include two to four rounds, depending on the length of stay. Popular combinations include Laguna and Millennium for a good-value short break, with Pinhal or Old Course Vilamoura added for groups wanting a stronger course mix.
The Els Club Vilamoura can also be considered for a premium golf experience, although access is more limited than the main resort courses and should be checked with our team before quoting.
If you want a wider Algarve itinerary, we can also add rounds at Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Vila Sol, Ombria, San Lorenzo or other nearby courses.
To ensure the most of your Vilamoura golf holiday, we recommend discussing your preferences and needs with our dedicated team. Sharing your desired level of challenge, interest in additional activities, and any specific accommodations will allow us to create a bespoke itinerary. Additionally, take advantage of our handpicked recommendations to explore all that Vilamoura has to offer beyond the golf course.
Vilamoura has something for all visitors, whether you're looking for a fantastic deal on a getaway or a luxurious long weekend. The green fees for the main Vilamoura courses, which include Vilamoura Pinhal, Laguna & Millennium , usually begin at about £85 during the quieter months, and can go up to £116 in the busy spring and autumn seasons.
If you’re considering package deals (like our 3 Nights B&B and 2 Rounds options mentioned above), you’ll usually discover some great savings compared to booking green fees direct. If you’re with a group, be on the lookout for attractive offers like “1 in 8 plays free” or discounts for early booking, perfect for society trips or annual golf trips!
Don’t forget to factor in extras like buggies, club hire, and golf transfers all of which our team can include in your package.
