Across the UK, a range of towns and cities will offer choices for groups of all sizes when wanting nightlife. The big cities of Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London will have a lot of options for bars, restaurants and clubs. Some resorts will have facilities to cater to groups, as most will have a lounge bar and restaurant. The Belfry is an obvious candidate if you are looking for a party, with on-site nightclub "BelAir".
This depends on many things, including the length of your stay. Typically, groups stay for 1 night and play 2 rounds of golf, ranging from £99 up to £399 depending on the quality of golf and accommodation you choose. Our team can assist your group in deciding the best UK golf resort for your requirements.
Spa and golf breaks in the UK are very popular with couples and friends. Most resorts offer access to a spa on-site, which is ideal for golfers to relax after a day golfing or for partners to enjoy during the day. A spa break is a perfect complement to a UK golf break as one can take a break from the real world and unwind in calming surroundings.
Why not try out the excellent value "Sunday Driver" deals that enable groups to play twice across Sunday and Monday, stay one night and leave on Monday afternoon. We recommend these deals as they are often the best deals on the best-known golf resorts in the UK.

Another fantastic region to play golf on your UK golf break has a much more extensive selection of courses than initially meets the eye. Focusing on South Wales with one of our favourites is the only Welsh Venue to host the Ryder Cup, The Celtic Manor Resort. Just a few miles towards Chepstow, our next choice would be St. Pierre Marriott Golf & Country Club.
The last on our Welsh journey located near Cardiff's Capital and vibrant city is the fantastic golf and sports resort, The Vale Resort. Two championship golf courses plus much more are natural for golfers of all abilities.
When featuring the United Kingdom, you cannot forget the home of golf, which has a vast array of the best golf courses from which to choose. Synonymous with sweeping coastlines, craggy outcrops and sandy links courses, this region attracts visitors from worldwide, and it's clear to see why.
We have selected our favourites from the region, including the legendary Old Course Hotel at St Andrews. In terms of golf, you must play The Dukes Course and, if you get the opportunity, the Old Course too. Just along the coast from St Andrews, we can highly recommend the Fairmont St Andrews Hotel with two excellent courses; The Torrance and The Kittocks.
Across the west coast, we have selected another great venue, The Ailsa Course at the Turnberry Resort. The west coast is littered with famous names, and there are a few less-known masterpieces to discover. We love Turnberry as a base, as the hotel and facilities are just stunning. The views across to Ailsa Craig are unbeatable also.
Next on our list is another British Open venue in the Carnoustie Hotel & Spa; three fantastic examples of championship golf courses and accommodation second-to-none. Last is the Gleneagles Hotel with its world-famous PGA Century, Kings and Queens golf courses.

Everyone knows the UKs famously unpredictable climate, which of course makes golf even more interesting at times! Our recommendation is to play in the early Autumn, once the Summer holidays are over, as the courses look great and are that bit better value. There is a difference in the weather across the different regions; however, for the best chance of playing golf in the Sun, July and August are probably your best bets. The low season will be attractive for those brave souls who venture out in the wind & rain, particularly the west coastal resorts where the wind can be particularly challenging.
The United Kingdom offers such a diversity of scenery and terrain that almost every kind of golf course is available for the amateur golfer. Windswept links courses set in grassy dunes, heathland masterpieces and strategically laid-out parkland courses all offer a fantastic challenge for you to experience.
Golf in England is famous for the historical courses that host The Open Championship, although there are a lot more to explore. There is an extensive selection of resorts nationwide with a lot to discover, including some golfing gems that we highly recommend. Here we run through our top recommendations for a golf holiday in England. The south-west has St Mellion International Resort; the South-East has a fantastic choice with our favourites The Grove. The Cotswolds have a few gems, and our selection here would be The Manor House. The list continues into the midlands where it has to be The Belfry, with three of the best golf courses to choose from on-site. Moving further North to the North East, there is only one choice that has to be the fantastic Slaley Hall. Finally, for England, we would choose the fabulous Carden Park, a quality resort with golf to match.
