Our View of the La Zambra Resort

The La Zambra Resort first opened in the 1980's as the famous Byblos Andaluz Hotel, a retreat frequented by the likes of Princess Diana and the Rolling Stones. After being closed for over 10 years, the resort was re-developed by Hyatt, and a reported 20 euros was spent to upgrade and re-open, as the luxurious La Zambra Resort in 2022.

The exterior of the hotel is surrounded by sumptuous gardens bordered with palm trees, no less than 2 main outdoor pools and a dedicated family outdoor pool known as Bartola's pool, all three are also surrounded by sun beds and parasols.

This luxurious resort offers 169 rooms and suites are all spacious and furnished in soft tones, designed with a traditional Andalusian flavour. All room categories either overlook the golf courses or the mountains.

Spa

The resort has the luxurious "Mood Spa" spread out over 2,000 square metres. It features an indoor heated pool, sauna's turkish baths and personalised treatment plans can be tailored for all guests.

Restaurants

All guests staying here have the option to choose from four restaurants:

Palmito  - The most popular of all, where all meals are taken daily, guests can choose to eat an extensive buffet or a la carte breakfast, take lunch with a modern twist on Andalusian favourites or enjoy the evening as an authentic brasserie. Guests can choose to eat indoors or out on the terrace.

Picador - A modern Andalusian Tavern with an outdoor terrace with extensive views out across the Sierra de Mijas.

Bambaleo - Both a restaurant serving a wide range of lite bites from Tapas, salads and goat cheese fritters to the "Mick Jagger" signature burger. The evenings are extended, and the bar opens up to provide either your pre- or post-dinner cocktails and drinks - all enjoyed in an outdoor relaxed atmosphere, all complemented by live music and special events late into the night.

Golf

The Hotel overlooks Mijas Golf Club with its two Championship Los Olivos and Los Lagos golf courses. A short five-minute walk from reception to the pro shop and first tee, makes this hotel an ideal option to enjoy all that Mijas Golf Club has to offer.,
