As far as European Tour events go the Turkish Airlines Open has been hosted in Turkey since 2013 and played out on the Montgomerie Max Royal golf course with great success. Other notable golf tournaments hosted in Turkey include the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final held at the Sultan Course at the Antalya Golf Club in 2012 which was contested by probably the best male golfers in the world eg Tiger Woods, Rory Mcilroy, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood.
