Sotogrande is the perfect destination for golf holidays since it offers excellent golf courses, breathtaking scenery, and luxurious hotels. Add to this exclusive bars, restaurants and even a polo club. It is located on the Costa Del Sol coast, 30 minutes from Marbella and next door to Gibraltar.
The golf is high quality with top-rated courses, including Valderrama (host of the Ryder Cup) and the old course at San Roque.
The buzzy marina is impressive, with yachts coming and going and the opportunity for people-watching aplenty. After a tough day on the course, it's a great location to unwind. For restaurants, we recommend Trocadero Sotogrande for a fusion of Thai and Japanese cooking that can be enjoyed overlooking the sea.
The region has access to Gibraltar airport and Malaga, which gives options in terms of transfers to your hotel.

This prestigious golf course is another one of the great golf courses to come out of the Robert Trent Jones Snr Worldwide portfolio. It has hosted several important tournaments over the years. It is a challenging course that will test even the most experienced golfers, but it is also gratifying to play.
Alcaidesa Links is a beautiful 18-hole par-72 links course, built-in 1992 and designed by Peter Ellis and Clive Clark, with stunning Mediterranean sea views. The onsite Heathland course is worth a round too.
One of Europe's finest and is the main reason why so many of our golfers from Spain visit the Costa del Sol. This course is a real test for any golfer, with its tight fairways and tricky greens. Host of numerous European Tour events and the Ryder Cup in 1997.
This course is a recent addition to the golfing landscape, designed by Cabell B Robinson and opened for play in 2003. It is a demanding course that will test even the best golfers.
This prestigious golf club is a must-visit on any trip to the Costa del Sol. Located near Marbella, it is home to two championship courses, the San Roque Old Course and the New Course. The course has a lot of undulations, which you'll notice as soon as you start playing.
