Alcaidesa Links in Spain is a magnificent 18-hole par-72 links course, opened in 1992 designed by Peter Ellis and Clive Clark. The course’s terrain is shaped by gentle slopes descending towards the sea, culminating in an almost 2 km long beautiful beach which borders the majority of the course’s holes.
As well as being a great course that is used frequently on the Europro Tour, The views from Alcaidesca over the beach and with the rock of Gibraltar in the backdrop are simply stunning.
The strong winds from the sea have the greatest impact on the difficulty of the course. However, overall the course is very playable for amateurs of all levels.
The most distinctive features of the course are the impressive views over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa. The total length of the course: 5,866 m.
In 2011, Alcaidesa Links was included in the best 20 Golf courses in Europe by Golf World magazine. Book golf holidays in the Costa del Sol today and you will not be disappointed by the standard of golf course in this Spanish region.
