Where to Stay: Gloria Golf Resort
Gloria Old Course is one of the most established golf courses and eldest in Belek.
The course opened for play in 1997 designed by French architect Michel Gayon.
Gloria Old Course sits below the Tarsus Mountains and has a feel about it that you are away from everything despite being located in the ever-developing area of Belek. The fairways are tight and tree-lined and the greens are among the very best in the whole region.
The Old Course has hosted a number of European Tour events since opening. Although these are predominantly now played on the New Course. The Old gives you a much trickier and longer challenge to the Gloria New Course.
There are seven freshwater lakes over the course and over 60 bunkers to navigate around over the18 Holes.
The course is always maintained to an incredibly high standard and the carpet like greens are some of the fastest on any Golf Resort in Turkey.
Pro Tip, "Gloria’s Old Course is pretty flat compared to most in the area, It plays as you see it, The yardages are true so trust them, most Importantly pick the right tees for your handicap level, The course is long off of the tips and for less skilled players whom may not drive the ball as far, this can leave you with some impossible second shots shaping the ball around a tight treeline."
The championship Old Course opened in 1997 and has become a firm favourite of golf visitors to Turkey, with beautiful tree-lined fairways and views of the Taurus Mountain range it is a pleasure to play and enjoy.
