Designed by David Jones and European Golf Design, The PGA Sultan Golf Course has had its share of golfing royalty grace its lush fairways. Most Notably Justin Rose who shot a 65 on the final day of the World Golf Final 2012 beating fellow countryman Lee Westwood by one stroke and taking home a nice purse of 1.5 million dollars.
We recommend adding this course to your golf holiday in Turkey, certainly if you are staying at the Sirene. The course winds through woods and up and over sandy banks and crystal clear ponds and water feature heavily on more than half of the holes. The front nine gives you plenty of opportunities to grab birdies with some excellent examples of risk and reward. The back nine will test your nerves and skills with a combination of demanding par 4’s and a brutal par 5 16th and the one par 3 17th.
The 18th is probably the best closing hole in of golf in Belek. Named “Looking Back” this is a spectacular finish, with the Taurus Mountains in the horizon and a hole that will use every last bit of concentration left in you.
Pro Tip, "Get off to a good start, You will face the most challenging golf holes in Belek from the 10th- 15th where you will need to keep an eye on the stroke index’s and use your shots wisely. Remember, “GOLF IS HARD”
