The Carya Golf Club is the crown jewel of Turkey's golfing industry, and it has established new benchmarks for the game of golf in Belek thanks to its championship-level layout and facilities of the highest industry quality. Having played this course numerous times throughout the year, I can confidently say that it is without a doubt one of the most exceptional golfing experiences that can be found in the Mediterranean region.

This masterpiece, which was created by Thomson, encompasses 7,186 yards of fairways and greens that are kept in pristine condition and weave through old pine and eucalyptus forests, respectively. Playing championship golf under the stars has become a distinctive experience that my clients frequently rate as the highlight of their Turkish golf break. Carya Golf Club is distinguished by its pioneering floodlit course, which is what sets it apart from other championship golf courses.

What Makes Carya Golf Club Unique?

It is a stunning example of how traditional heathland design concepts may be elegantly combined with contemporary championship standards. As someone who's played many of the UK's heathland courses, I can confirm that Carya Golf Course genuinely captures that traditional feel - think Sunningdale or Swinburne, but with guaranteed Turkish sunshine and exceptional hospitality.
Carya Golf features fairways that are expansive but strategic, with bunkers that are positioned in such a way that they need careful consideration off the tee by the player. A GPS system is included in every buggy, which makes it easy to choose the club that best suits your needs (although you should make reservations in advance, especially during peak seasons). The care of the course is simply exceptional, and the putting surfaces it has are among the best in all of Turkey golf courses.

When Should You Go to the Carya Golf Club?

The months of March through May and September through November offer ideal playing conditions, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. This is based on my experience while hosting golf holidays here. During the summer months, the temperature can be fairly high; however, with first tee times beginning at seven in the morning and the unique night golf choices, it is possible to simply avoid the heat.

Between the months of October and November, in particular, the shoulder seasons provide an exceptional value, with green fees beginning at £125 and including the rental of a buggy. It is important to note that resident prices can give significant savings, as I have seen many customers combine their golfing experience at Carya with an overnight stay at one of the luxury hotels that are located nearby.

Practice Facilities

At the Carya Golf Club, the practice facilities are considered to be among the best in all of Turkey. At the expansive driving range, there are bays that are both covered and uncovered, making them ideal for warming up before your round or working on your game. There are multiple putting greens and a dedicated pitching area in the short game area, both of which are designed to completely recreate the conditions that are seen on the course.
