Only 30 minutes from Stansted International Airport, the 1890-era historic parkland combines historical holes with Jack Nicklaus II's contemporary championship upgrades to create one of England's most unique golf venues.

The Championship Course

A unique mix of traditional and contemporary design elements can be seen in the 7,052-yard championship layout. Nicklaus II's difficult upgrades are complemented with nine holes from the Victorian era, which require careful course management because to their strategically placed bunkers and tree-lined fairways. The English Open was held on this esteemed course from 1997 to 1999.
