The Ailsa Course is the championship course at Turnberry located in southwestern Scotland on the coast of the Firth of Clyde, only 20 miles from Glasgow. The course, which has hosted the Open Championship four times, The Ailsa Course, which opened in 1909, was designed by six-time Open champion Willie Park Jnr and his brother Mungo. The Ailsa –which has been voted one of the top 100 courses and was the venue for the dramatic "Duel in the Sun".
This is the old Kintyre course which was redesigned in 2017. The King Robert the Bruce Course at Turnberry is a great place to play golf. The views from the summit of Bain's Hill are amazing, and the new layout of the 8th hole is fantastic. The course now offers both breath-taking views and clever design. We highly recommend playing here.

You may choose from the signature restaurant 1906 (the year the hotel opened), which serves a local collection dish with a second-to-none menu.
