The original course a nine-hole ran through until 1937 when it was deemed too short, and Theodore Moore was brought in to improve it and added a few hills and valleys carved to make the course less flat than when it was originally conceived.
More recent times, an additional 9 holes were added, making it up to today’s 18 hole challenge.
A stern test of golf the scorecard shows 6852 yards par 72, additional blue tees would take it out to over 7,000 yards. 2020 was to be, a great year for the course with the 117th women’s open amateur championship was to be played here for the first time.
