The Praia D'El Rey Resort Overview

Praia D'El Rey golf resort is located just an hour's drive North of Lisbon city in Portugal on the natural Silver Coast.

Famed for its famous Praia D'El Rey Beach - venue of the World Wind Surfing championships,  this beautiful coastline brings you sugar-white sandy beaches, a nature reserve, fantastic fish restaurants, and a selection of Portugal's best golf courses.

The resort also has the Marriott Hotel on-site for those looking to stay in Hotel accommodation.

Accommodation

There are several self-catering accommodations, three in total, throughout the resort. Some apartments are located near the spa entrance, half a mile from the golf clubhouse, or some are nearer to the golf clubhouse and easily walkable to the golf clubhouse. These have shared pools or, in the case of the larger villas, their private collections.

You can also choose to stay right overlooking the Praia D'El Rey beachfront with direct access and apartments and villas overlooking the ocean with spectacular views. They also have a supermarket and restaurant where clients can take numerous meals, including breakfast. These are all located approximately a mile from the Praia D'El Rey Clubhouse.

All guests staying at each of these properties can benefit from the on-site packages, complete with transfers to and from the four golf courses offered on the box.

Golf

All guests staying here are privileged to have the opportunity to play two of Portugal's finest Links golf courses in Praia D'El Rey (still rated in Portugal's Top 5). The second is West Cliffs. This fantastic gem of a course is designed by no other than Dye Design, a future star, and rated as Portugal's No.2 course. The other two golf courses are Bom Sucesso, recently re-designed and much improved, and Royal Obidos, a golf course for many years. All four golf courses for many years have been a 10-minute golf shuttle away from the centre of the resort.

So with a resort offering this quality golf, early booking is recommended and essential, one of our favourite places to stay and play.
