The Beloura golf course sits at the heart of the Quinta da Beloura complex, part of a residential development that also is home to the Pestana Sintra Golf Hotel. Just 30 minutes minutes drive from Lisbon and mid-way betyween Cascais and the Unesco World Heritage site at Sintra.

With a backdrop of the Sintra mountains this 18 hole championship golf course is a Rocky Roquemore design,  the famous American Designer is also responsible for designing Belas golf course also ion the same area.

The golf course opened its doors in 1994 and was immediately a popular addition, a relatively flat golf course over 40,000 trees were planted along the fairways adding a test to this green oasis. With numerous strategically placed lakes, the par 4, 7th hole Signature hole measure 425 from the back tees, the fairway is guarded by the lake so a carry over the lake is essential. Positioning is also key with a stream running 110 yards short of the green across the fairway, with a green is guarded by bunkers and slopes from back to front.

The largest lake on the course hides the approach on the 18th hole which is a great finish to an enjoyable round of golf.  Certainly a great course to start your adventure, whilst playng golf in the area.
