The Algarve, Portugal, is arguably Europe's capital for great golf courses and is hard to match anywhere in Europe. That said, the natural landscape and beautiful countryside are home to the latest Championship Golf and luxury living.

Ombria golf course is the epitome of Championship golf, located at the heart of the brand New Ombria Golf Resort which is only 30 minutes away from Vilamoura. New is a current understatement, with the golf course opening in early Summer 2023. The remainder of the resort is expected to open during September 2023 and will be a luxurious and memorable place to stay and play.

Situated in the hills, just a short 27-minute drive from Vilamoura, you will find Ombria golf course, a true Championship golf course measuring 6,382 yards from the men's back tees. Jorge Santana de Silva has designed the course and maximises the natural landscape, winding its way around and through rivers and trees.

The golf course has been designed to be as sustainable as possible; over 750 Holm Oak Trees were planted, bringing the number of trees across the resort to no less than 2,000. On-site are two nurseries, a greenhouse and an organic farm. The six key areas of energy, water, supply chain, nature, pollution community and pollution control are essential across the resort. The resort has received the highest GEO certification throughout the design, planning and building process.
