Joining Ryder Cup courses in Wales paved the way for another golden dawn in golf, with Celtic Manor becoming a world-famous course. Those courses were strong despite a tremendous storm during the week of the Ryder Cup. It shows how good its construction has been. Visit today to enjoy manicured tiaras and rapid greens whose distinctive design reflects Twenty Ten’s real tournament standard. And the experiences are just as important on The Twenty Ten as on the course themselves; meet and greet service, cleaning and access to the Ryder-Cup locker rooms in the Twenty Ten clubhouse guarantee your best day.
Celtic Manor has long been in contact with Colin Montgomerie, a renowned golfing icon who's his name on a championship course that's in comparison with the top British resort golf courses. Unlike Rome's roads, a few hills have to be negotiated, but the rewards include magnificent panoramas throughout the resorts. Montgomerie course boasts a historic championship legacy with many holes on The Wentwood Hills Course, which hosts the European Tours Welsh Open from 2000 to 2004. The other holes have been enlarged and redesigned at Coldra Woods Golf Course.
A superb resort golf course and a good challenge to any golfer. The Celtic Manor Golf Resort features a Robert Trent Jones-designed course which is a delight. Roman Road Course is an experienced and demanding championship golf course that builds on a rich history and features highlights like the Wales Open 2006 and 2005.
If you're looking for a resort that has everything from golf to luxury spas and more, then look no further than the Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales. In summary, The Celtic Manor Resort has more to offer than most of us could appreciate in just one visit, so we looking forward to welcoming you and providing you with some great deals to experience this fantastic Hospitality Venue. Celtic Manor Golf Resort is regarded as one of the best UK golf resorts and is the brainchild of Sir Terry Matthews, a self-made Welsh billionaire. He returned from Canada, purchasing the land and the original Celtic Manor House. This estate was also the Lydia Beynon maternity hospital, where Terry was born back in 1943. After a mere £150 million investment, Celtic Manor was created, building a brand new golf course and clubhouse in 2009, bringing the Ryder Cup to Wales first in 2010. This event which some say put Golf in Wales on the golf break map, extended into a fourth day, due to heavy rain, before G-Mac (Graeme McDowell) holed a late putt to win the cup for Team Europe.
Our knowledgeable and helpful team will walk you through the planning process. Having visited the area extensively, they can recommend several options for your golf break and tailor a holiday just for you. We will then seamlessly hand you over to a dedicated holiday manager who will take care of things right up until the first tee.
