Castro Marim is a 27 hole golf course located in the undiscovered region of the Eastern Algarve near Tavira. Castro Marim is located not far from the Guardiana river with some fantastic views and is very close to the border of the Costa de la Luz region of Spain. The golf course is split between the three golf courses of Grouse, Guardiana, and Atlantico. Grouse is the newest of the three and has more open holes playing inland and has rolling terrain and has the fewest of the three courses.
The Guardian is a great course with fantastic views with some elevated greens which are re-known for being true and fast, this course also has some testing doglegs carved into the hillside. The third of the courses is the Atlantico course which is the most established and has some testing holes taking in and making the most of the natural terrain, the fairways are lined with Pine trees and in the winter months more than a few partridges converge on the course, making it a great test. Overall Castro Marim is a great golf course in Portugal - highly recommended and great value-for-money.
Sitting adjacent to the Guardiano River the 27 holes here have spectacular views across the river, towards the sea or across the hillside and beyond.
Nearby courses include Monte Rei Golf and Quinta da Ria.
