NH Lagos Algarve Resort is a strong choice for golfers who want more than a stay-and-play resort. You can walk into Lagos after your round for its restaurants, bars and marina, while still being within easy reach of Palmares, Boavista and Espiche.
We particularly recommend it for groups who prefer having plenty of choice in the evenings rather than eating at the hotel every night. The free shuttle to Duna Beach Club also gives you an easy option for a slower day away from the golf course.
The hotel is spread across nine separate buildings, so some rooms are further from reception and the main facilities than others. Golfers with limited mobility should ask us to request a conveniently located room.

NH Lagos Algarve Resort is a four-star hotel in central Lagos, within walking distance of the old town, marina, shops, restaurants and evening bars. This makes it particularly useful for golf groups who want to explore the town without arranging taxis every night.
The hotel has 296 rooms spread across nine connected buildings, giving it the character of a small Portuguese village rather than a conventional tower-style hotel. Room categories range from standard rooms to larger superior rooms, family rooms and suites, with selected rooms offering balconies or terraces and views across the town, pool or coastline.
Golf is played away from the hotel, with Palmares, Boavista and Espiche all within a relatively short transfer. This gives groups the option to combine several contrasting west Algarve courses while retaining the convenience of a town-centre base.
Away from the golf course, the hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a health club, gym, restaurants and bars. Guests can also use the complimentary shuttle to Duna Beach Club on Meia Praia when it is operating.
The main trade-off is that there is no golf course directly on site. Golf transfers or a hire car are therefore required, although this is balanced by the much stronger choice of restaurants and nightlife available within walking distance.
Lagos is a useful base for several of the western Algarve’s leading courses, allowing groups to combine coastal views, resort golf and quieter inland layouts.

Accommodation
The refurbishment and re-branding in the hotel has now brought a great feeling of space and tranquillity with all rooms receiving a complete re-design throughout. All rooms are now decorated in contemporary styling all decorated in soft tones and making the very best of the natural light. All 296 rooms are allocated in separate buildings, in fact, nine of them creating a feeling of a Portuguese village. Whilst staying here you can take advantage of views of either the city or the Atlantic or the Hotels own Mediterranean gardens.
