Tenerife is served by two main airports — Tenerife South (TFS) and Tenerife North (TFN) — both offering direct UK and European flights with short transfers to the island’s top golf resorts. For those who are searching for winter holidays with fantastic championship courses and breathtaking panoramas, then Tenerife offers everything one could wish for. All courses are uniquely designed, so they are challenging for golfers of all abilities. Our travel specialists are experts in the region of Tenerife and will be happy to provide information and plan your stay. This volcanic island is breathtaking and the most popular in the Canary Islands. It is the perfect choice covering all budgets with year-round sunshine. In addition to the top-quality Tenerife courses, there are many hotels and areas for nightlife. The resorts are a golfer's paradise in more ways than one, as they offer so much more than the rest of mainland Spain. Regarding nightlife, there are some more lively resorts like Las Americas, or you can stay in the more golf-focused resorts of Sol Tenerife, where half-board options are available. If it's a rest your group are looking for, we can advise on some of the island's stunning beaches. The West side of the island is more volcanic and relaxing. The South Coast has more of a party beach atmosphere, with Playa de Las Americas and Costa Adeje providing beach bars and clubs day and night. Playa de las Vistas is worth visiting with its long sweeping beach on the South coast. Your group can also book all-inclusive golf holidays, and our friendly team will advise on the best deal tailored for you. For more information or help in any other way regarding golfing in the Canary Islands, please don't hesitate to contact us today. The views at Buenavista are simply unimaginable. I always suggest staying close to the south, and Costa Adeje is my favourite play. All of the courses in the south are close by. You always receive such a fantastic welcome in the clubhouse. For dinner, you must try Encanto next to Playa del Duque beach. We can help advise on the best deals for your group. If you’re staying around Guía de Isora or San Miguel, you’ll find quieter bases with quick access to both Abama Golf and the coastal courses of Amarilla and Golf del Sur. These areas are ideal for golfers who prefer scenic drives, local tapas restaurants, and short transfers back to the resort after a round. Between tee times, many of our travellers recommend taking a half-day trip on the Teide Cable Car to enjoy panoramic views across the island — or spending a relaxing afternoon at Siam Park in Costa Adeje, often rated Europe’s top waterpark. Both are easy to reach from the main golf resorts and make great options for mixed groups or family golf holidays. For something slower paced, try one of Tenerife’s hiking and nature trails through Teide National Park or the volcanic coastline around La Caleta. These routes show the island’s raw beauty away from the fairways and are perfect for a rest day between rounds. Stunning scenery, an array of courses, great value prices and an island with a perfect climate. Tenerife has a great year-round temperate climate for golf (average annual temperature 18–24°C). Perfect for a Winter getaway - see our guide to Top 6 European Winter Destinations to Play. Very popular with customers with an excellent choice of high-quality golf & resorts. This beautiful island offers enough for visits with 7 nights or 3-night stays. We will arrange everything hassle free, including transfers, so you can sit back and enjoy your holiday. The stunning scenery includes Teide National Park & Mount Teide at 12,000 Feet which is the highest volcano in Spain. Superb beaches, watersports & dive schools, deep sea fishing, dolphin & whale watching. Nightlife - Some great places for local nightlife, Our pick of the bunch is Costa Adeje, Although Playa de las Americas has plenty for the younger crowds. How to Get to Tenerife?

Insider Tips from Our Team
Why Travel to Tenerife for Your Next Golf Break
Flight times from the UK to Tenerife take approximately 4 hours at Tenerife South Airport. However, it only takes over 1 hour to transfer from one side of the island to the other. There are two major airports, so the transfer times from the airport to the resort are never very long. e.g. there is a 15-minute transfer to Costa Adeje.
We do not arrange flights. However, our team will be more than happy to assist in finding the best routes for your travel requirements.
The best value for golf in Tenerife is usually found in May and September. These months sit just outside the main winter and summer peaks, so flights, green fees and hotel rates tend to drop while the weather stays ideal for golf — typically 22–26°C with light trade winds.
It is still warm enough for golf in May and September. Both months offer perfect playing conditions. Courses are quieter, sunshine hours are long, and fairways are in excellent condition following spring and summer maintenance. You’ll enjoy the same warm climate as peak season but with more tee-time flexibility and better overall value.
Many resorts introduce mid-season promotions such as free buggies, discounted green fees, or all-inclusive upgrades. Booking your golf holiday in May or September is one of the easiest ways to save 15–25% compared with the high-season winter months.
The best spots are Playa de Las Américas, Puerto de la Cruz and Costa Adeje
Tenerife has plenty of activities outside of golf for you to enjoy. Try deep-sea fishing, Whale Watching, the warm waters encircling Tenerife is home to over 28 species of whale and dolphin, making it a renowned destination for tourists of all ages. Regular trips can be arranged from either Los Cristianos or Los Gigantes. With great watersports, Tenerife can really cater to everybody. We recommend taking the Bus Tour up to the top of Mount Teide and back down through the verdant Orotava Valley and finishing in the popular town of Puerto de la Cruz.
Nine courses in Tenerife, including Tecina on the Island of La Gomera, offer an amazing selection for your trip.
Yes, it’s straightforward. Many golfers play Tecina Golf on La Gomera as part of a twin-island holiday. The Fred. Olsen Express and Naviera Armas ferries run daily from Los Cristianos (south Tenerife) to San Sebastián de La Gomera, taking about 50 minutes. Transfers can be arranged directly from your hotel to the ferry port, and onward to Hotel Jardín Tecina overlooking the course.
