The Canary Islands is a great place for a golf break, all year-round. Despite being in Europe. Even the winter months are pleasant on the island of Tenerife. Therefore, whichever set of nine holes you choose to combine, the overall length of the course is not very demanding and ideal for a round of golf while on holiday.

A stand-out feature at Golf del Sur has to be the black, volcanic bunkers which are situated around the 27 holes. For those who know the nature of the land in Tenerife. This will come as little surprise in itself but nothing quite prepares you for the stark contrast of the black bunkers and the lush, green fairways. There are the odd palm tree and cactus here and there, but nothing major and it’s the greens that provide the biggest test here, in addition to any wind which may be present.

The course is always in great condition especially the greens and the bar and restaurant offer good food and drink. Golf del Sur makes a great addition to a golf holiday in Tenerife.
