The Atlantico was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr and is a hilly course, offering tremendous views of local coastal towns, such as Estoril and Cascais. Around half of the holes wind their way through trees, with some tight and undulating fairways adding to the test. There is also a selection of more open holes and this where the water tends to come into play, in addition to well-bunkered greens. Due to the nature of the course, which winds its way uphill at times, the wind can play a part, which adds to the challenge of playing the Atlantico course.

Situated a mere 40 minutes’ drive from Lisbon, is Penha Longa Golf Resort. The first thing to note is the ease in which it’s possible to reach such as great golfing venue, which seems to be a million miles away from the Portuguese capital's bustle. The 9-hole Mosteiro course takes in the estate's historical parts and compliments the Atlantico course in style.
