Linden Hall is a 4-star country house hotel in the countryside of Northumberland.
Macdonald Linden Hall Golf and Country Club was built in 1812 by merchant and banker Charles William Bigge. It is now nestled in 450 acres of grounds, the excellent country house hotel. All of the 50 bedrooms are quintessentially furnished. The 18-hole golf course is surrounded by fauna, from red squirrels to birds of prey and deer. There are several nooks and crannies inside the hotel, so your group can relax and discuss the days of our blazing fires. Why not go down to the old church, which now houses the billiard room, or use the leisure facilities.
The Jonathan Gaunt-designed layout is a difficult test of parkland golf and features some magnificent par 3s, the 4th and 7th being our selection of the finest. You're teeing off from the raised tees, and you need to clear the water land both greens. Other great holes include the Double Dog-Legged 13th and the terrific closing hole, whilst also you'll be impressed by the spectacular views of the Cheviot Hills.
At 6846 yards from the championship tees, this course is measured at a par of 72. It passes through some challenging and well-positioned hazards and bunkers whilst also offering some beautifully undulating fairways.
The Macdonald Linden Hall Hotel, a repurposed Grade II country house, is located in the heart of Northumberland's idyllic park and forests. The construction itself is genuinely fascinating, and visitors will savour a warm and tranquil atmosphere, as well as a very comfy accommodation.
The Georgian building may trace back to 1812, but the hotel's decor is armed with all the modern amenities needed to ensure a relaxing stay. The serene atmosphere allows customers to relax, while the leisure facilities and dining options fulfill the package and reinforce the quality of Linden Hall as a golf break location. With the health club, Spa, Award-winning restaurant, or even its pub, the Linden Tree, Linden Hall is the perfect spot for your next golf break.
A meal at the Dobson Restaurant is a special experience; with two AA Rosettes, and one of the finest dining rooms in the region, featuring a sumptuous menu of traditional dishes. Wood flames and toned-down lighting provide a romantic setting for couples before dinner in the Monck Cocktail Bar or a lovely afternoon tea during the day.
