Three 18-hole championship golf courses wrap around the hotel, all of the highest quality. We can see how La Cala golf resort was voted in the top 3 resorts in Spain recently. Not to forget, the fully-equipped spa and stunning views make this one of our favourite resorts. Current deals include unlimited golf packages - please ask us for details.
The resort was opened in 2005 and is situated in the mountains, offering lovely views of the surrounding area. The courses were designed by Cabell B. Robinson and blend seamlessly into the natural terrain. As a result, the area is rich with wildlife, trees, and flowers and provides a stunning backdrop for a round of golf.
As the course is known locally, Campo Europa is perhaps the easiest of the three courses available at La Cala in Costa del Sol, Spain, but this makes it a great choice for golfers of all abilities. The fairways are generous throughout and with flatter terrain than the Campo America and Campo Asia courses. As a result, Europa allows for some great scoring opportunities. In addition, the greens are generally quite large, especially compared to the other two courses and can look very inviting when playing approach shots.
La Cala is one of our most requested hotels and certainly one of our favourites too. Although, the three courses are a fantastic mix for all levels of golfers. Campo America in Costa del Sol, Spain, is what most would consider being the championship and premium option. All buggies include GPS on America, and the course is a testing challenge for professionals and amateurs.
Hydrotherapy pools, a Turkish bath and a sauna, are all available at the hotel's spa. All guests can enjoy a free hydrotherapy session on prior request. Several treatments are also on offer, such as massages and facials.
For evenings out, you can arrange local taxis to get you into nearby La Cala de Mijas, where you can sip on a cocktail or gin and tonic at Olivia's La Cala, which has been made famous following a reality T.V Programme where viewers follow the day to day running of the establishment owned by Elliott Wright.
It is also straightforward to get into Marbella Old Town and Puerto Banus in a taxi, And most groups will find their way to the bright lights of Marbella for an evening out.
