It was the home of the first Spanish Open and the oldest course in the Costa Brava, Golf de Pals has sustained an impeccable record as one of Spain's top golf courses, underscored by the awarding of multiple PGA European Tour and Spanish national events.
The property is located only a few yards from the shore, and with the sandy turf beneath, there is a noticeably British accent on the course, rendering it a home away from the home during your golf retreat in the Girona region of the Costa Brava.
The very first golf course in the Costa Brava was opened in the summer of 1966, and shortly after, in 1968, Golf Platja De Palscourse was extended with nine more holes until the 18 regulation holes were stipulated. The new course opened in 1970 with the celebration of the "Spanish World Amateur Championship." Two years later, the Championship golf course held the "Spanish Open 1972."
Since then, kudos to its design and implementation, the course has been considered to be one of the finest in Spain and has hosted numerous international competitions.
Pals is where the Platja de Pals Golf is located, in the soul of the Costa Brava. Pals have three main areas. The old town is at the top of the hill. As you go to the beach, you'll find Massos de Pals in the woods, then you'll continue to the beach where the forest and the building meet the sea. That's why Pals is a 'complete' town and one of the most visited regions of Emporda.
Golf de Pals is a firm favourite with clients seeking the very best golf in Spain and in the Costa Brava and certainly one to play on your next golf break to the region.
