One of the most popular destinations for a golf break in the UK, the Carnoustie Hotel is another excellent hotel steeped in history with bragging rights. It has hosted the Open Championship in both 1999 and 2007. This fantastic property near Dundee has numerous facilities, including three golf courses The Budden, The Burnside, and The Championship Links.
After dragging yourself away from the tremendous golf here, the hotel also offers the Spa with a swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, a 15 station gymnasium, jacuzzi, and steam room. Elemis is the brand of choice at the Spa, with a great selection of treatments to relax and revitalize during your stay.
The on-site restaurant has been recently refurbished. The Calders Bistro served up local favourites sourced from local produce. Although the property is extensive, it has only 105 rooms and suites, all modern in design with varying views across the golf courses.
The Suite of note here is The Ben Hogan Suite, located on the third floor with its private balcony overlooking the Championship golf course and beyond. Carnoustie is also an excellent venue for meeting rooms accommodating from 16 persons to the largest, holding up to 250 persons.
All rooms decor is inspired by the shoreline and nautical these in clean whites, and bold greys and blue colours,
