This year’s event is held at Le Golf National, the 2018 Ryder Cup venue, and hosted by star French golfer Gregory Havre. The tournament has been running since 1906 and pre-dates the European Tour. The 149th edition of The Open is taking place at Royal St Georges in Kent, it will be the 15th visit to this course making it the most prolific Open golf venue in England. The last time it was hosted here was in 2011 when Darren Clarke was successful. Other courses to host this event include St Andrews, Muirfield, Carnoustie Golf Links, and Royal Troon.
The Wales Open will be held at The Celtic Manor Golf Resort in 2021 and played over the 2010 Ryder cup Venue on the TwentyTen Golf Course. Celtic Manor hosted the inaugural Wales Open in 2000 and for the next 15 consecutive years thereafter. Previous winners of this event include Miguel Angel Jimenez and Graeme McDowell.
The Fairmont St Andrews will host the Hero Open again in 2021, with play over both the Kittocks and Torrance golf courses. Last year the event was held at the Forest of Arden course and was won by Sam Horsfield.
