Son Gual Golf - For those heading to Mallorca for a golf holiday, there is a gem of a golf course that simply cannot be missed. Son Gual Golf Course, Mallorca was established in 2007 and has gone on to not only be the most highly rated course on the island but easily one of the top ten in Spain.
Designed by Thomas Himmel, Son Gual Golf Course begins with tremendous views from the first tee, which is the highest point of the course. However, you cannot afford to be taken in by the views for long thanks to the water which is present on four of the five opening holes.
The greens have been delightfully designed and the generous apron offers a choice of shots for those who come up a little short with their approach. You can pause at the half-way house for some tapas and a drink before commencing the back nine holes, which is a nice touch.
The variety of possible shots continues on the back nine holes. Perhaps the greatest thing about playing at Golf Son Gual Mallorca is the creativity it gives to players, with various shot options on each hole.
