The Lopesan Costa Baobab Resort is a five-star resort a little different to what we accept as normal. The Baobab is based upon and designed extensively with a taste of Africa and the African bush with extremely lush gardens adorned with shrubs and trees more akin to Africa. The impression here is that you are In Africa the gardens have swimming pools with brown tiles and all common areas have great canes and shrubbery. If you listen carefully the sounds of Africa are subtly piped through the Hotel sound systems creating a different kind of relaxation.

All rooms here are bigger than normal and twin beds and twin queen beds are popular choices for golfers staying here.

The Hotel is also slightly more central ion Meloneras and is surrounded by plenty of bars restaurants and even a Casino too and a short walk away will find you adjacent to the beach at the famous “Cafe del Mar” with its extensive sound systems pumping out the latest dance tunes galore.

Unique

For those guests wishing to have a little more luxury, the resort offers the “Unique Rooms & Suites” These have the facility of their private swimming area with sunbed and terracing and also the option of having their private breakfast in the “Pili Pili restaurant”. During the day this is also where the guests can go and have snacks and drinks as well as relax in complete peace and tranquillity.

The facilities in the hotel are extensive, with 6 outdoor pools, a fully equipped adult Gym or the Adult gym. The wellness area also offers massages and has its own hairdresser.

Gastronomy

The Hotel has no less than 4 restaurants with two buffets that’s Baobab and Marula with an additional A La Carte option at Akara in the evening, and at lunchtime the additional Pili Piri restaurants is available. Bars are popular too with the Lodge & Bar R Burton and Samuel Baker along with the Henry Stanley Bar and Mungo pool bar.

Golf

There are 6 golf courses on the island to choose from with Las Palmas golf course, a 45-minute away further north back towards to the centre of the island and the airport. The other four courses Salobre Old and New, Maspalomas, Anfi Tauro and Meloneras are all in the south just a short drive from the resort. The resort also has its golf desk for those guests wishing to book even more golf after they have arrived.

The hotel is the most popular amongst returning golfers to the area with the hotel-surrounded bars and restaurants just a short walk away, booking early is also recommended.
