Lauro golf club is located in Alhaurin de la Torre, with fantastic views across the Costa del Sol and Spain's golf coast. Set high up in the mountains, some 1,000 feet above sea level, an inland course winds through the forested Sierra de Mijas.  The Lauro Golf Club started as an 18-hole course in 1992. Its popularity soon spread, and an additional nine holes were added in early 1993, designed by Folco Nardi and Mariano Benitez. The golf course is only a short transfer from Malaga.

This 27-hole course has three separate nine-hole loops, each giving a different challenge. Designed with the average golfer in mind, the golf is relatively flat and is well-guarded by plenty of trees and forested areas.

This course is well-known for its difficult water hazard on the final hole. The Lauro golf course is a fantastic example of nature and golf. The design has not taken away any of its natural beauty. Not the most testing of courses, but one that golfers of all standards can enjoy.

After golf, a welcome Cerveza can be enjoyed in the quaint golf clubhouse converted from an original 18th-century farmhouse, which still holds its charm and character.

Overall a good test of golf in picturesque surroundings and views second to none.
