Roxburghe Golf Course

Roxburghe Golf Course

RANKED IN THE TOP 10 INLAND COURSES IN SCOTLAND!

Crafted by world-acclaimed golf course designer Dave Thomas, the Roxburgh is an excellent championship golf course. The picturesque, free-draining course offers a fun Round of golf built to accommodate all golfers of all abilities. Dave Thomas has developed a beautiful mix of holes, using the landscape's natural surroundings, the mature edge of the forest, and the breathtaking beauty. The signature par 5 hole 'The Viaduct,' contrasted by the Teviot River, demands a marvellous placement from the raised tee with the green outlined by the famous Roxburgh Viaduct.

Set in the Scottish borders within 50,000 acres once belonging to the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe, the wonderful championship course opened for play in 1997. The first match was an exhibition between Colin Montgomerie and Sir Nick Faldo. This wonderful Dave Thomas design has also played host to the Scottish Seniors Open on no less than five occasions.

The Courses is a truly memorable golf test and can proudly boast of being the Gateway to Scottish Golf.

Now part of the German group Schloss who has created a wonderful hotel from the charming and historic manor house has been enhanced by an extensive and tasteful refurbishment.

Schloss Roxburghe is a classy establishment and oozes charm and elegance and makes for a perfect stay and plays a Scottish Borders venue.
