Murrayshall Golf course is located in the historic town of Scone in Perthshire, Scotland. With 27 Holes of superb golf on offer, this Hamilton J. Stutt design is always popular with golfers.
The Murrayshall Course is the Championship layout and being a true test of golf with a Par of 73 will challenge even the finest golfers. Stutt learnt his craft under the watchful eyes of James Braid so you can expect large bunkers, well placed and eager to swallow up golf balls. Gentle gradients on the greens will test the nerves and a course that makes full use of the natural landscapes' typography.
There are many great holes on offer, but our favourite would be the 7th hole named “Dog’s Grave”.
This hole is a good risk and reward dogleg right where your skill set allows you to aim for the tree in the middle of the fairway and the out of bounds right. Clear the stream, and you will present yourself with an easy birdie opportunity. They say fortune favours the brave, and this hole is a perfect example.
The Lynedoch Course is the nine-hole course at Murrayshall Country House and Golf Club and is a lovely little challenge if playing 27 holes in one day sounds like your idea of a perfect golf trip.
With 1 player in every 12 stayings and playing golf for free, Murrayshall offers a fantastic short break for golf societies and larger groups. The resort holds incredible value, and from as little as £99.00, you can expect a fabulous one night stay with two rounds of golf.
The Clubhouse is most welcoming, and the restaurant is top-notch, so Murrayshall is definitely one to consider for your next U.K Golf Break.
