Montgomerie Marrakech

The Montgomerie Marrakech as the name suggests, was designed by European Golf Design in consultation with Colin Montgomerie. This 18-hole Championship gem of a golf course, sits at the heart of the 500-acre residential estate currently under construction which itself lies near to the International Airport, and adjacent to the "Red City" of Marrakech.

The multi storey Golf Clubhouse which stands overlooking a huge lake caters for Golfers and non-golfers, it has no less than has two restaurants open to the public. The roof-top Jet Set Sky Bar has a lounge, restaurant and and ice bar as well as impressive views across the golf course.

The Hole of note here is the 1st,  with a Tee-shot taking aim towards the 12th century impressive Koutobia Mosque which sits on the south-west corner of The Medina.

An impressive golf design, the Montgomerie Marrakech has generous rolling fairways, however, a clear train of thought is required when playing into the gently undulating greens. Take particular note of the two-tiered greens on the 5th and 6th both of which can easily cause problems.

Highly recommended a must-play when playing golf in Marrakech.
