A La Manga Golf Break really caters to everyone. Located in the southern region of Murcia, along the Mar Menor coast, is where you will find Spain’s largest golf resort. This is the most complete resort and is spread across 1,400 acres and is home to three championship golf courses, 28 tennis courts, a professional football center with 8 FIFA standard pitches (including one floodlit) and the Junior Football academy), European Cricket Centre (Home to the ICC European Cricket Federation), and rugby pitches, a wide selection of restaurants and bars and an extensive spa with a wide selection.

Two Fantastic Accommodation Options to Choose From:

La Manga Principe Felipe Hotel

La Manga Principe Felipe Hotel

Accommodation at La Manga is varied, with the La Manga Principe Felipe Hotel, a Five Star luxury hotel located at the heart of the resort and just a stones-throw from the main clubhouse. First tee boxes of both the North and the South course as well as the extensive and world-class practice facilities. This is truly a great hotel for those looking for luxury and pampering in five-star surroundings during a golf holiday to La Manga. Inside the hotel, you will find the main restaurant Amapola, which serves fantastic fine dining a la carte dinners and traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The Piano Lounge is always good fun of the evening with a live pianist playing modern classics and a true old-fashioned sing-song is common every night of the week.

Hotel Principe Felipe has 92 fully equipped and comfortable rooms with the highest quality of service guaranteed.

“ La Manga Club is a personal favourite of ours and the location of the Principe Filipe is just perfect for golfers, The North and South are located in front of the hotel as are the practice facilities, A great pool area and also a pool bar serving lunch throughout the day “

La Manga Las Lomas Village

Adjacent to the North golf course and resort spa is the Las Lomas Village, made up from the modern view apartments “El Pueblo” the old village which has a selection of 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments and townhouses all designed in typical Andalusian style, have their own separate pool area and a selection of bars and restaurants for time away from the course. Right in the heart of Las Lomas, you will find Luigi’s, which is where the buffet breakfast is served but also a fantastic Italian restaurant of an evening, I can highly recommend the pasta vongoli with a chilled glass of Rose wine.

Las Lomas is a great way of experiencing La Manga Golf Holidays on a tighter budget but rests assured the accommodation is spacious of high specification.

Getting Around La Manga

Once on resort getting around is just so simple, The hotel has a fleet of their own shuttle buses that seat around 8 people named the “Wah Wah” Don’t ask why as I can not work out the translation. However this is a free service and absolutely spot on, the bus will take you to pretty much anywhere on the resort given prior notice.

We do recommend giving yourself 30 minutes when booking this service

Golf at La Manga

1. La Manga South Course

La Manga North GC

The Championship course at La Manga Club, located in the southern section of the resort, is considered one of the fairest tests of golf in the world. While it is widely regarded as a top-calibre championship course, its length of 6,499 metres from the White Tees ensures a comprehensive test for players of all abilities, from the scratch player to those with various handicaps. The South Course, located in the heart of the valley and has spacious, palm-fringed fairways and water hazards that come into play on 15 of the 18 holes, presents few hidden threats. However, the many carefully placed water hazards, and bunkers will undoubtedly penalise any miscued shots taken.

2. La Manga North Course

La Manga North GC

One of the best golf courses globally, this undulating course is nestled amongst palm trees, lakes, and "barrancas." Each of the three golf courses has one or more natural storm gullies, which offer an added depth to the game. The North Course, which is somewhat shorter than the South Course and has narrower fairways and more oversized greens, provides a distinct, though no less demanding, the game of golf. The amount of movement integrated into the greens, which were all designed to USGA specifications, is a distinguishing aspect of the course, none more so than the short Par 3, 2nd, which has three unique plateaux - a great test of putting. The extensive range of possibilities necessitates a greater reliance on accuracy than on length, which presents an additional problem.

3. La Manga West Course

La Manga Hotel Principe Felipe West Course

Do not be fooled by the modest length of the La Manga West Course, which measures just 6,250 yards, since this is a challenging golf course to learn despite its small distance. The backdrop around the course is breathtaking, and the course itself is well-maintained, resulting in a genuine and fast playing surface, particularly on the fairways and greens, especially on the back nine. The holes are diverse, and you never get the impression that you are playing the same hole again as you make your way around the 18-hole course. Even though La Manga West is a modest and scenic golf course, you must be in peak form to get a low score here.

Practice Facilities at La Manga

Established in late 2019, the new La Manga Club Golf Academy has at its core the main objective of helping you enjoy your golf more by hitting better shots on the golf course.  The academy is blessed with 2 state of the art teaching rooms, with Trackman and Bull 3D analysis systems on request, 4 separate group teaching rooms (great for visiting pros) and a 45 bay driving range and brilliant short game facilities, If honing you game is what you are looking for on a golf trip, Then I can not think if too many places that rival La Manga.

Our View On La Manga Golf Breaks

“I often get asked due to my work in golf travel, Where is my favourite place to stay and play Golf.  Well, personally and in entire honesty, I would more than often than not tell people La Manga, without even having to think. It is just the simplicity of booking a trip to La Manga and how simple and relaxing it is whilst staying in La Manga, yet still being able to deliver on great evenings out and full of variety and choice. Top that off with three fantastic golf courses, free shuttles around the resort, 25 minutes from the new Murcia RMU Airport and generally reasonably priced flights from the U.K and what is there not to enjoy”
