Golf Club D'Aro
Club Golf d'Aro is among the oldest golf courses on the Costa Brava and is also one of the finest, The championship golf course is a par-72, 18-hole tremendous layout is almost 6,800 yards and also features a 9-hole course, all within the core of the resort and boasting stunning views of the Costa Brava, Les Gavarres, Montseny and Valle de La Selva. For several years, this has been a golf holiday staple with a course that embraces both its architecture and its playability, irrespective of your handicap.
More than a thousand olive trees, pines, cork oaks and two lakes were used in the structure of the course, designed by architect Ramón Espinosa. The strategically placed bunkers of this undulating course make it a demanding but intriguing design, as do the ravines that fall on both sides of some fairways-where a stable nerve and a very straight hit will help preserve your score! All in all, this is a course that you can never forget, for all the right reasons.
A great round for enthusiasts of golf and nature, Club Golf d'Aro Mas Nou is the only golf course on the Costa Brava offering sea views. Located more than 300 metres above sea level, this course allows players to enjoy the most incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea and the protected natural park of the Gavarres massif.
The clubhouse is a converted Catalan farmhouse, originally constructed in 1870, and has been kindly modernised to provide a cosy and inviting retreat after the round. Golf d'Aro is about 35 minutes from Girona and just over
an hour from Barcelona and about the same distance from Perpignan Airport.
Golf d'Aro is always popular with golfers playing in the Costa Brava region and a firm favourite of 360 Golf Holidays too.
