01992 763660Costa Ballena’s excellent 27-hole golf complex is a magnificent design by Ryder Cup Legend Jose Maria Olazabal, testing players from all levels, from scratch handicaps to beginners. The course is flat with slight undulations with a few holes directly on the coast with strategically placed bunkers and lakes dotted around the course. For us we prefer holes 1 -18 they just play really well, not dismissing 19-27 they are very good also, we would choose 1 -18 as our favourite combination though.
The practice facilities at Costa Ballena are truly world-class and according to the Swedish PGA the best in Europe and well we are in agreement they are very good indeed, Costa Ballena would make an ideal location for a coaching trip in Costa de la Luz.
Be careful when the wind is up, the crosswinds will make this scenic golf course more tricky and placement from tee to green pays a premium.
