Alhama Signature Golf is located in the region of Murcia, near the town of Alhama, and is a public golf course. The total area of the golf course is roughly 96 hectares, with a maximum length of 6,884 metres for a par 72. The green space covers 45 hectares, and the remainder is gardens with local plants.
Jack Nicklaus developed and personally autographed the Alhama Signature Golf Course. It has 116 bunkers of all shapes and sizes of white silica sand. A semi-rough made of paspalum acts as a transition grass between the fairway and the wide rough that defines this set, and a pine forest surrounds it all.
Alhama Signature Golf is a tremendous challenge for any player, professional or amateur, of any ability, thanks to its precisely designed greens surrounded by strategic bunkers. The circuit is 6,884 metres long and has a par of 72.
Water comes into play on seven holes, but the par 3 11th with its close island green has the most.
The course features 116 bunkers in various designs, including a Bears Pawprint set.
