What are the Best Quinta Do Lago Golf Courses?
In collaboration with former European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, world-famous architect Beau Welling, significantly upgraded the North Course in 2014. With an investment of 9 million euros, the architects designed the new layout with outstanding results.
The team reconstructed all the greens, bunkers, irrigation systems, and pathways using new technology. To make the course more accessible and facilitate players of all levels, they have incorporated 4 tees on each hole. A mixture of undulating greens, bunkers, and lakes makes for a good challenge for all golfers.
This stunning course's regular hosting of the esteemed Portuguese Open serves as a testament to its excellence. William Mitchell's design in 1974 raised the bar for golf in the Algarve. The incorporation of American standard greens and bunkers makes them some of the finest in the region. Even European Tour professionals who have had the privilege of playing here have given it high ratings.
The South Course's backdrop is beautiful, with a lovely Ria Formosa Natural Park scene. The course is maintained and upgraded daily, which brings it up to the same high standards we see today.
Sited on the edge of the estate and Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, an excellent 18-hole golf course.
The 5th hole is great for golfers. The elevated tee box is set in the trees and gives a great view. The ball seems to soar through the air for several moments before landing in the fairway. Do well at this hole, and you will be happy. 9th and 16th holes are difficult to navigate. Each has more than one water crossing. Take a deep breath and try to make a par if nothing else.
Laranjal is a beautiful golf course that provides an excellent challenge to all players.
In addition to the 3 courses on the Quinta estate, there is a performance centre with a driving range, practice green, and a superb cafe.

Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty right on the doorstep of Ria Formosa. Trails along Ria Formosa make it ideal for hiking or mountain biking. Alternatively, you can take part on a Segway tour. You can see a lot of attractions if you go on a boat trip too.

Visit the Quinta Shopping Centre, where a good range of shops and restaurants are available. Here you can stroll the boutiques and high-end stores in the sun and unwind, watching the world go by at the relaxing cafes.
