Enniscrone Golf Club, established in 1918, is one of Ireland's top links courses and is located in Bartragh. The championship Dunes course, built by Eddie Hackett, spans vast sandhills near Scurmore Beach and was upgraded by Donald Steel. With its lofty tees, plateau greens, and stunning coastline views, this more than 7,000-yard course, which was voted 2008 Golf Course of the Year, is difficult.
Eddie Hackett's final masterpiece, Carne Golf Links, highlights the Mullet Peninsula's ancient beauty. Its spectacular Wild Atlantic Dunes course, ranked 12th in Ireland, features some of the world's most beautiful links holes, which run over 150-meter-high dunes. The 6,200-yard Strandhill Golf Club challenge requires planning and accuracy due of its undulating fairways. Although this par-70 course is shorter than its neighbours, its strategic layout promotes cautious play.
