You are spoilt for choice when it comes to playing at Golf El Rompido thanks to 36 fantastic holes of golf. The first 18 hole layout opened for play in 2003 and this is known as the South Course. Designed by Alvaro Arana, the South Course is a parkland course and is set among lovely pine trees and orange groves.
Accuracy is the key when playing the South Course at Golf El Rompido and there are slight elevations around the 18 holes but nothing major. On the 17th and 18th holes, you are required to play tee shots over the marsh, which is an exciting way to finish.
The North Course at Golf El Rompido opened in 2006 and is quite short for a modern golf course but a good strategy is required. The course is located in the Marismas del Río Piedras Nature Reserve, providing a wonderful natural setting for a round of golf. Much of the front nine plays alongside the Piedra River marshlands but it’s the par-3 16th hole which is standout, thanks to the beautiful setting and the testing bunkers surrounding the green.
Both courses come with practice ranges and Golf El Rompido is a top venue for playing golf.
